About the Employer
We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. Antioch Unified School District is centrally located in the East Bay and provides ready access to scenic mountains, waterfronts, wine country, historical sites and the Pacific Ocean. Antioch is known as the "Gateway to the Delta" and is one of California's oldest cities, with a diverse community of approximately 100,000. The Antioch Unified School District is a Merit System District. As such, final selection of our classified staff members will be made from candidates who have been placed on an eligibility list. Eligibility is determined via an evaluation and competitive screening/scoring of a candidate's training and experience as demonstrated on the application and responses provided in the supplemental questions.

Unit: CSEA Classification Hours/Work Year: 1.5 to 5.5 hours day / 10 Mos. (180 Days - Student Days Only) CSEA Hourly Range 115: Step A $21.46, Step B $22.54, Step C $23.69, Step D $24.88, Step E $26.14, Step F $27.47 Promotional/Open * The promotional group as well as the public may apply. The promotional side of the eligibility list shall take precedence when certifying eligibles. APPLICATION DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, JULY 22, 2026 by 4:30 P.M. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. OTHER LICENSES/REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver's license.
SELECTION & EXAMINATION: The selection process will consist of an application screening for completeness and qualifications, a written exam (weighted 40%) and an oral panel interview exam (weighted 60%) will be conducted. A passing score must be achieved on the exams to be placed on the eligibility list. Final selection will be made from the three highest accepting ranks off the eligibility list. Required Strength Testing: All offers of employment are conditional upon the applicant's satisfactory results of the Post Offer, Pre-Placement Physical Evaluation Program (PEP). This physical strength test helps us select employee candidates that have demonstrated a minimum level of strength to perform the essential functions of the job.
