Nutrition Services Specialist (Community Services Department)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field. Two years of experience in medical nutrition and/or community nutrition are required. Must be a State of Florida Licensed Dietitian or Licensed Nutritionist and a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

This is a professional position within the Community Action and Human Services Department providing specialized dietetic and nutrition assessment, counseling and monitoring. The incumbent will complete nutrition diagnosis, take anthropometric measurements, and provide counseling, nutrition education and other follow-up services to pregnant women and children ages 0-3 according to the Florida Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) schedule.
