Nutrition Staff

Nutrition Staff - Permanent Position

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented Nutrition Staff member to join our school kitchen team on a permanent basis. This position plays an important role in preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals to students each day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble a variety of menu items including sandwiches, wraps, salads, pizzas, grab-and-go meals, and other entrees as assigned
• Follow standardized recipes, portioning guidelines, and food production procedures
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, steamers, slicers, and food processors
• Serve meals to students while ensuring proper portion control and food safety standards
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, equipment, and workstations following HACCP guidelines
• Receive, stock, and organize food and supply deliveries
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced team
• Strong attention to food safety, cleanliness, and detail
• Ability to follow directions and recipes accurately
• Ability to read and speak English sufficient to understand instructions, recipes, and safety procedures
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• ServSafe certification required (may be obtained following the probationary period)

Schedule & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $19.68 - $23.15 per hour
• Permanent school-year position (Monday-Friday)
• No nights or weekends
• School holidays and vacations off

Additional Requirements

• CORI and fingerprinting required
