The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Community Agency for Senior Citizens (CASC) to find qualified candidates for a NY Connects Outreach/Resource Specialist in Staten Island, NY. Community Agency for Senior Citizens (CASC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Staten Islanders age 60 and older live as independently as possible in their communities. Through the NY Connects program, CASC provides objective information, assistance, and referrals to individuals of all ages with long-term care needs, helping them access services and supports that promote independence and well-being.
Position Overview:The NY Connects Outreach/Resource Specialist provides information, referrals, and assistance to individuals, caregivers, and professionals seeking long-term care services and supports. This role conducts client screenings, assists with public benefits applications, provides person-centered counseling, and connects individuals with appropriate resources. The Outreach/Resource Specialist also participates in community outreach activities, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with community partners to support individuals with accessing needed services.
