Role: NY/NJ Traffic Expert Contributor
Job Type: Recurring contract or freelance work
Schedule: Flexible, project-based
Location: New York or New Jersey preferred; some work may be completed remotely
Have you worked in traffic enforcement, traffic court, motor vehicle administration, trucking, insurance, roadway safety, or another field connected to traffic tickets?
TrafficTickets.com is looking for current and former professionals who are open to sharing their knowledge through educational content.
This is not a full-time position. We are building a network of recurring expert contributors for:
- Short educational videos
- Podcast and video interviews
- Blog articles
- Written Q&As
- Expert quotes and commentary
- Content accuracy reviews
- Discussions about traffic stops, tickets, courts, licensing, insurance, CDL issues, and roadway safety
Who We Want to Hear From
Relevant backgrounds may include:
- Current or former police officers, state troopers, traffic officers, supervisors, dispatchers, or trainers
- Municipal court professionals, prosecutors, defense attorneys, clerks, judges, or court administrators
- Former DMV or MVC employees, hearing officers, licensing specialists, or investigators
- CDL drivers, fleet managers, safety directors, truck inspectors, or transportation compliance professionals
- Crash investigators, collision reconstructionists, traffic engineers, or roadway safety professionals
- Insurance agents, claims adjusters, investigators, underwriters, or risk professionals
- Driving instructors, defensive-driving instructors, tow operators, roadside responders, or traffic-safety educators
Retired professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You Would Do
Contributors may be invited to:
- Explain how traffic-related systems and procedures work
- Share professional insights and common misconceptions
- Participate in recorded interviews or podcasts
- Provide quotes or commentary for articles
- Write or contribute to educational blog content
- Review content related to their area of expertise
You can choose the formats that fit your experience and comfort level. You do not need to be a professional writer, presenter, or content creator.
What We Are Looking For
- Professional experience in a traffic-related field
- Knowledge of New York or New Jersey preferred
- The ability to explain complicated subjects clearly
- Good professional judgment
- Reliable communication
- An interest in contributing on a recurring, flexible basis
