NY Underage Purchaser

Computer Evidence Specialists has been selected by the federal government to serve as the Federal Tobacco Compliance Check vendor in New York. CES inspectors and underage purchasers will perform non-confrontational compliance checks on local tobacco retailers to ensure the sale of tobacco products to minors is restricted. 

Ideal underage purchasers are 16-20 years old, have a strong work ethic, and have sufficient free time to complete the assigned inspections with the Inspector. Purchasers must complete the following forms which will be provided by CES: Parental Consent, Medical Release, Underage Purchaser Agreement, Non-Disclosure Agreement and Commitment to Protect Non-Public Information. Please note this role is subject to federal service contract labor standards.

Duties/responsibilities:

• Complete a short online training course.
• Identify and verify the establishment information provided to you and the Inspector.
• Participate in non-confrontational compliance inspections by attempting to purchase a tobacco product; You should not attempt to be deceitful about your age.
• Purchaser should be okay with travelling alongside our commissioned Tobacco Compliance Inspector(s).

Required qualifications/skills:

• Aged 16-20 years old
• Must currently hold a valid New York issued ID (driver's license, learner's permit, etc.) 
• Applicants ages 18-20 will receive and must pass a background check
