Position Overview
The O&M Manager directs an employee team in the operation and maintenance ofa simple cycle facility.This position provides leadership and direction toOperations and Maintenance TechniciansandaPlant Administrator. The O&M Manager is directly accountable to the Vice President, Thermal Operations for assigned resources, assets, and position responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Develop andmaintainan atmosphere of employee involvement, trust, and motivation through employee participation, empowerment, work teams, andmulti-skilling. Providea culture that is flexible and adaptable tochangeand which strives for continuous improvement in the accomplishment of work.
Direct activity to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, prudent business practices, andin accordance withall power sales agreements.
Develop annual O&M and capital budgets. Manage expenditures within the limits of approved plans and budgets.
Manage safety and emergency preparedness efforts to provide a safe work environment. Ensure that appropriate procedures and policies are in place and that employees areproperly trainedin responding to medical, fire, and storm emergencies; hazardous material handling and disposal; fuel spill response; and other safety procedures.
Manage operations to provide for compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, requirements, and limitations.
Provide direction and coordinate activities to maintaincompliance of plant protective systems with FERC/NERC requirements. Interface with contractors and plant personnel to schedule andfacilitatetesting, inspections, maintenance, and documentation for plant equipment.
Manage the site's computerized maintenance management system (EAM), coordinate the identification of critical spare part procurement,and manage inventory in a manner consistent with plant needs.
Manage equipment operation and maintenance plans, schedules, and procedures to optimizeequipment performance, availability, and reliability.
Administer and maintaintraining programs and systems for the development, maintenance, and enhancement ofemployee skills necessary foraccomplishingcomplete operation and maintenance activities. personnel. Providecareer developmentopportunitiesforpersonnel.
Serve as the primary contact for and represent Invenergy with the local communities. Actively participate and take a leadership role in civic activities.
RequiredQualifications
Minimumof 5years’ experiencein the power generation industrywithknowledge of operations and maintenancepractices associated withcombustion turbines and auxiliaries.
Above average computerproficiencywith Microsoft Office software.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
PreferredQualifications
Prior small-team leadership experienceat the manager level.
Above average verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Base Pay
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
