Job Description:

We are looking for an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Supervisor to oversee the performance, reliability, and safe operation of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS assets. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring maximum plant availability and efficiency. You will work closely with site teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Your Role will encompass:

Monitoring & Performance Analysis

• Monitor the performance of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS assets through remote monitoring systems and site inspections.
• Analyse production and performance data, identify deviations, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions to maximise plant availability.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities in line with O&M contracts.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance works with site engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of electrical, mechanical, and control system issues, including inverters, transformers, switchgear, and BESS equipment.

System Optimisation

• Identify opportunities to improve plant performance, increase energy yield, and optimise operational costs.
• Manage spare parts strategy, including inventory optimisation and warehouse inspections.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE regulations and applicable electrical standards (IEC, NEC).
• Support the preparation of RAMS for HV/MV/LV maintenance activities and promote safe working practices.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare reports on plant performance, technical availability, maintenance activities, and downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, CMMS updates, equipment inventories, and spare parts documentation.
• Record safety incidents, environmental observations, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

Team Coordination & Operational Support

• Coordinate daily activities with O&M teams, contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure efficient plant operations.
• Provide technical guidance to site technicians and support warranty management and technical issue resolution.
• Support resource planning, subcontractor selection, recruitment of site personnel, and handover activities from EPC to O&M.
• Monitor maintenance progress through regular site inspections and ensure effective utilisation of manpower, tools, and equipment.
• Identify specialised suppliers, prepare RFQs, and support procurement of maintenance services.

Environmental Compliance

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies, including waste management and minimising environmental impact.
• Support environmental assessments and implementation of corrective actions where required.

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor"s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Operations & Maintenance of utility-scale Solar PV projects, with BESS experience considered a strong advantage.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or site leadership role within renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of Solar PV systems, including inverters, transformers, switchgear, SCADA/monitoring systems, and electrical distribution. Experience with BESS technologies is highly desirable.
• Proven experience coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, contractors, and field technicians.
• Familiarity with CMMS, performance monitoring tools, and reporting systems.
• Good understanding of HV/MV/LV systems, HSE requirements, and international standards such as IEC and NEC.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English; additional local language skills are considered an advantage.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites.
