    O.R. SURGICAL TECHNICIAN $2,500 SIGN ON BONUS

    Surgical Technician – Join a Vital, Collaborative Surgical Team!Location: Meadville Medical CenterSchedule: Full-time | On-call Availability Required

    Position Summary

    Join our dedicated surgical team where your skills and attention to detail directly impact patient outcomes. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a sterile environment and supporting surgeons and nurses in delivering exceptional care.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in surgical procedures following AORN standards and hospital guidelines.

    • Ensure a sterile field is maintained and all instruments are handled properly.

    • Prepare and position patients safely for surgical procedures.

    • Monitor and maintain patient comfort and safety throughout the surgical experience.

    • Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, contributing to a supportive and efficient operating room environment.

    What We’re Looking For

    • High school diploma required.

    • Completion of an accredited surgical technician program required.

    • Previous experience as a surgical scrub tech is a plus.

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    • Ability to stay calm under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.

    • Basic computer skills and professional bedside manner.

    Certifications

    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

    Physical & Job Demands

    • Must be able to lift/push/pull 20–50 lbs. occasionally.

    • Frequent standing, reaching, handling, and talking required.

    • Ability to focus, prioritize, and respond quickly to patient needs and surgical team requirements.

    • Willingness to take voluntary/on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

    • Must reside within 15–20 minutes of the hospital for call coverage.
