    Job Description

    Schedule/Hours: M - F (Day Shift)

    This position is responsible for:

    Provides excellent client services to members participating in activities presented by Oasis Wellness Center; The monitor is responsible for assisting customers with membership sign-ups, processing payments, and maintain accurate accounts. Keeps the sports and recreation areas clean, organized and safe. Responsible for real-time surveillance of the fitness center, gym and pool area; incident detection and reporting to ensure safety and security.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Greets and directs members as they enter the fitness center.

    • Verifies membership status through membership software system.

    • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe facility by cleaning equipment and training areas to include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping down equipment, cleaning mirrors and glass, and re-racking free weights.

    • Responsible for assisting customers with membership sign-ups, processing payments, and maintaining accurate account records

    • Responsible for real-time surveillance in fitness studio, gym and pool monitoring for incidents or accidents and reporting them directly to Supervisor to ensure safety and security.

    • Keeps the sports, recreation, lobby and desk area clean, organized and safe

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    • Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies and equipment.

    • Required to grasp objects, push, and pull objects, bend, stand, walk, squat, or kneel. Moderate to high mobility; duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.

    • Work is performed in a combination of office and field settings. Frequently required to sit and reach; and must be able to move around the work environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

    • Work will typically be indoors in a heated and air-conditioned office or location, with a mixture of natural, incandescent, and fluorescent light with moderate noise levels or be subject to working conditions.

    • Work may require performance of duties where exposure to communicable and infectious diseases are possible.

    • Use of a computer is required; and the ability to communicate using a computer and phone/smart device. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate activities is required.

    • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

    Certifications/Licenses:

    • Must have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification within first 30 days of employment.
