OB/GYN GENERALIST
Location: Contra Costa County, California
Our organization is actively looking for a full-time or part-time, Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Generalist to join our team in Martinez, CA.
We provide extensive healthcare services to a diverse community in the San Francisco East Bay area. Our facilities host the Contra Costa Family Residency Program, attracting exceptional residents interested in global health, with advanced training in obstetrics and women's health. Annually, we handle approximately 2,000 births and offer a level 2 nursery, in-house anesthesia and pediatrics, a bustling emergency department, and general gynecological surgical services.
OB/GYN practitioners are employed by the county and are members of the county physician's union.
Key Responsibilities for the OB/GYN Position Include:
A flexible, comprehensive OB-GYN practice that allows you to customize your blend of clinic care, hospitalist duties, and general obstetrics and gynecology.
Hands-on supervision of residents, along with opportunities for occasional didactic presentations.
A collaborative atmosphere within a multidisciplinary OB/GYN department, working alongside both OB/GYN and Family Medicine physicians.
Engagement in quality improvement initiatives and the chance to cultivate leadership skills in a nurturing academic environment.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
A genuine interest in delivering OB/GYN care to a dynamic population, including recent immigrants facing socioeconomic challenges.
Strong teaching abilities and the patience required to guide new learners.
A keen interest in providing ambulatory high-risk antepartum care with Maternal-Fetal Medicine consultation, as well as inpatient obstetrics.
Proficient surgical skills, including laparoscopic hysterectomies, management of ectopic pregnancies, and ovarian surgeries.
Comfort in caring for patients with substance use disorders and complex social circumstances.
Language proficiency, particularly in Spanish, Farsi/Dari, Portuguese, or various Asian languages (phone translation services are available at all clinical and hospital locations).
