Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, a member of LifeBridge Health, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist (Laborist) to join our collaborative academic Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
This is an outstanding opportunity for physicians who enjoy inpatient obstetrics, labor and delivery, emergency gynecology, resident education, and academic medicine while maintaining an excellent work-life balance through scheduled shift-based practice.
The position includes an academic faculty appointment with George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, providing opportunities to teach medical students and OB/GYN residents.
Sinai Hospital is a 483-bed nonprofit teaching hospital and the largest community hospital in Maryland. Our ACGME-accredited residency programs train more than 140 residents annually, including 16 Obstetrics & Gynecology residents (4 residents per year).
Since April 2023, Sinai Hospital has served as a Regional Medical Campus for George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, hosting third- and fourth-year medical students for required clerkships and electives.

Position Highlights
As an OB/GYN Hospitalist (Laborist), you will:
Provide inpatient coverage for Labor & Delivery, OB Triage, and Mother/Baby
Evaluate and manage obstetric patients requiring hospitalization
Consult for the Emergency Department and inpatient services
Evaluate and treat gynecologic emergencies including:
Miscarriage
Ectopic pregnancy
Early pregnancy complications
Postoperative gynecologic complications
Manage both low-risk and high-risk labor patients
Perform:
Vaginal deliveries
Operative vaginal deliveries
Primary and repeat Cesarean deliveries
Emergency obstetric procedures
Work predictable 12-hour or 24-hour scheduled shifts
Teach and supervise OB/GYN residents and medical students
Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety and physician satisfaction

Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Eligible for Maryland medical licensure
Passion for academic medicine, resident education, and collaborative patient care
Compensation & Benefits
* Competitive Guaranteed Base Salary: $285,000-$325,000
o Compensation is based on experience and includes additional quality and performance incentive opportunities.
