About the job OB/GYN Medical Assistant
OB/GYN Medical Assistant - Athens
- medical assistant at an OB/GYN practice. Duties include: greeting and taking back patients, getting weight, blood pressures and heart tones, answering phone calls, ordering and recording labs, scheduling surgeries and mammograms, handling referrals, some triage phone work
- We are looking for a team player with GREAT customer service. Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred, EMR strongly preferred (NextGen a plus).
- Preferred to be Registered or Certified MA w/ OB/GYN Experience
- Mature candidate desired
- Benefits include: Health insurance after 90 days - Company pays 2/3 of the employee only option (Ex. Individual only $84 biweekly - Employee responsibility)
- 401K after 1 year of employment - matches up to 4%
- 12 days of PTO/sick time - 1st year
- Office size - 1 Physician, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 2 Medical Assistants (1 is leaving Aug 31st), 2 Front office, 1 Billing, 1 Practice Manager, and 1 Ultrasound technologist
- 32 hours weekly; Mon, Tues, Thurs 8:30am - 5pm, (Wed 8:30am - 12noon, Friday - off on a rotational basis - 2 Fridays off a month) If you work ½ day on Wed then you work Friday, if you work a full day on Wed, then you're off on Friday)
- Hourly Range; $16 to $18/hr
