Job Opportunity: Instructor or Higher in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Our organization is thrilled to announce a full-time opening for an Instructor or a higher position within our newly established community practice in Denver. We are in search of a proficient generalist to deliver comprehensive clinical services in obstetrics and gynecology, encompassing both inpatient and outpatient care, as well as surgical procedures.

As part of the CU Medicine East Denver practice, you will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare providers, sharing responsibilities for service coverage, which includes night and weekend on-call duties at Rose Medical Center.

While the primary focus of this role is clinical, there are also opportunities to engage in the education of medical residents and students, thereby nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional, patient-focused care in obstetrics and gynecology, including outpatient consultations, inpatient treatment, and surgical interventions.
  • Participate in on-call duties, including nights and weekends.
  • Collaborate with fellow practitioners to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care.
  • Supervise and instruct medical students in both clinical and procedural environments.
  • Maintain precise and timely medical records.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at improving quality to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to community outreach and educational efforts for patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must fulfill the minimum qualifications at the time of hiring.

Instructor:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Active or unrestricted medical license in Colorado.
  • Current BLS certification.
Senior Instructor:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Active or unrestricted medical license in Colorado.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Five years of clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hiring.

Preferred Qualifications:Instructor:
  • One year of clinical OBGYN experience post-residency.
  • Experience in high-volume/high-risk obstetrics.
Senior Instructor:
  • Seven years of clinical OBGYN experience post-residency.
  • Experience in clinical education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Expertise in labor management, including understanding normal and high-risk labor progression.
  • Proficiency in fetal heart rate monitoring and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of gynecological evaluation and management.
  • Experience with contraception counseling and procedures, including LARC placement and removal.
  • Ability to perform routine gynecological surgeries.
  • Effective communication and clinical documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care across diverse populations.
Conditions of Employment:
  • Successful completion of institutional credentialing and privileging requirements, including eligibility to practice at affiliated hospitals and clinical sites, while maintaining those credentials in good standing.

Compensation:

The starting salary range for this position is as follows:

Instructor: $290,000

Senior Instructor: $300,000

This salary range represents our organization's good faith estimate of the potential compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless classified as non-exempt.
