OB/GYN PHYSICIAN OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:
Our organization is actively looking for a full-time OB/GYN Physician to become part of a dedicated team that includes one OB/GYN MD, one Family Medicine/OB Physician, and two Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs). This well-established practice provides a range of services, including annual examinations, screenings for anxiety and depression, STD testing, HPV management, infertility treatments, birth control options, colon screenings, care for perimenopause and menopause, management of high-risk pregnancies, endometrial ablation, hysterectomies, prenatal care, pre-surgical evaluations, and gynecological surgeries.
POSITION SPECIFICS:
Located in a trauma level 3 hospital, with the nearest level 1 trauma center situated an hour away.
The practice is evenly split between obstetrics and gynecology, with the potential for a focus on gynecological surgeries if desired.
Referrals come from seven clinics, serving a primary population of 70,000 for this specialty.
On-call rotation is 1:4, covering a four-bed labor and delivery unit and the emergency department.
Average annual deliveries are around 225.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of an accredited residency program are mandatory.
Board certification is strongly preferred; however, board eligibility is required.
An active Minnesota Medical License and DEA registration must be obtained upon hiring.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is necessary.
ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS SYSTEM: EPIC
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Please be aware that the final salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
The base salary is guaranteed at $380,000 per year for the first two years, with additional income potential based on production hours (wRVUs).
Annual reimbursement for CME and coverage for professional dues and memberships.
Relocation assistance and a signing bonus are available, including support for residency if applicable.
10% annual employer contributions to a 401K plan, fully vested after six months of employment or 1,000 hours worked, whichever comes first.
Eligibility to apply for state and national student loan forgiveness programs, potentially offering up to $120,000.
A cash balance plan is included.
