Our organization is looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to become part of the established team at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Missouri, which is situated about an hour from St. Louis.

Hospital Affiliation:

Parkland Health Center includes a full-service acute-care hospital in Farmington and a three-bed critical access hospital in Bonne Terre, serving the residents of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri. The Farmington campus provides a wide range of services, including inpatient medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics, geriatric psychiatry, and emergency services. Outpatient services feature a wound care clinic and a specialized heart and lung center.

Role Purpose

The physician will deliver professional medical services within their specialty, focusing on direct patient care while also dedicating time to complete related tasks such as managing medical records, providing MyChart consultations, conducting patient-specific education, and collaborating with advanced practice providers and care team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the medical care of a patient panel by providing or arranging for inpatient hospital care, either through regular hospital rounds or coordinating with hospitalists or other qualified physicians.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and care team members to ensure optimal patient care outcomes at designated clinic locations.
  • Document medical histories and physical examinations in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital bylaws.
  • Arrange for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient care in accordance with organizational policies and medical staff bylaws.
  • Collaborate with and mentor advanced practice providers and support staff involved in the care of the physician’s patient panel.
  • This position is classified as safety-sensitive, requiring the ability to maintain constant alertness and operate safely.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Doctorate in Medicine
  • Experience: Less than 2 years
  • Supervisor Experience: None required
  • Licenses & Certifications: Board Eligible or Board Certified in the practicing specialty; Licensed Physician
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience: 2-5 years
