What You'll Do & Bring

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients across all stages of life
  • Perform annual well-woman exams, preventive screenings, and health assessments
  • Diagnose and manage common gynecologic conditions and reproductive health concerns
  • Provide prenatal, postpartum, and family planning services
  • Manage routine and high-risk pregnancies within scope of practice and credentialing
  • Perform labor and delivery services
  • Coordinate care with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists and other healthcare providers
  • Evaluate and treat conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, infertility, endometriosis, ovarian disorders, and sexually transmitted infections
  • Perform in-office procedures including colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals, cervical biopsies, and incision and drainage procedures
  • Perform surgical procedures consistent with hospital privileges and credentialing
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic evaluations
  • Educate patients regarding pregnancy, family planning, menopause, sexual health, breast health, nutrition, and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with family medicine providers, pediatricians, behavioral health professionals, specialists, care coordinators, and hospital staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within organizational standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review activities, and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) standards
  • Respond promptly to patient messages, refill requests, and care coordination needs
  • Support organizational goals for quality, productivity, patient access, and patient satisfaction

What You Bring

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Current unrestricted Texas medical license
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Current DEA registration or eligibility for registration
  • Current BLS certification
  • Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program
  • Experience providing obstetrical and gynecological care
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine and high-quality patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems
  • Compassion, emotional intelligence, and cultural sensitivity when caring for diverse patient populations

Preferred:

  • NRP certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Hospital privileges for deliveries and surgical procedures
  • Experience working in an FQHC or community health center setting
  • Experience serving underserved populations
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
