Job Description

About Our Organization:

Our organization specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, serving communities across Missouri and Southern Illinois with 39 practices and 17 locations. To ensure the highest standard of patient care, we have partnered with a leading health group.

We offer tailored healthcare solutions for women at every stage of life. Our patient support center operates seven days a week with extended hours, simplifying the scheduling process and providing a clinical resource where a nurse is available to address any concerns. Our approach is rooted in compassion and value; we prioritize listening to our patients, answering their questions thoroughly, and utilizing technology to empower them between visits. Each appointment includes bedside ultrasound services, allowing women to stay connected throughout their pregnancy, along with complimentary 4D ultrasounds and gender reveal testing.

What We Are Seeking:

We are in search of a qualified OB/GYN Physician for our Mt. Vernon location. The ideal candidate will be adept at delivering a comprehensive range of obstetric and gynecological services, including routine well-woman care, labor and delivery, and hospital-based surgeries for a diverse patient demographic. Care is provided at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, a 134-bed facility equipped with Robotic Surgery, NICU telemedicine linked to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, and maternal-fetal medicine services. Our Mt. Vernon site features 12 examination rooms, 2 ultrasound rooms, 2 procedure rooms, and 1 NST room.

  • Participate in on-call duties on a 1 in 4 rotation for obstetric and gynecological emergencies.
  • Ensure efficient patient flow in a busy outpatient clinic, accommodating both scheduled and same-day appointments.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers and team members.
  • Exhibit the ability to provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.
  • Engage in ongoing education regarding current medical practices and innovations through reading and attending conferences.

Requirements and Qualifications:
