OB/GYN Registered Nurse — IHS Federal Facility | Southwest United States

About the Facility: A large federal IHS medical center serving the Navajo Nation across multiple states in the Southwest. One of the highest volume IHS facilities in the region with comprehensive women's health, labor and delivery, and full OB/GYN services on site. Mission driven environment with experienced OB/GYN physician coverage and a collaborative clinical team.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN RN to support labor, delivery, and women's health services at a federal IHS facility in the Southwest. High autonomy role serving a Native American tribal community where your skills make a direct and lasting impact on a population that genuinely depends on quality healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive intrapartum nursing care through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
  • Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric emergencies.
  • Administer medications including oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, and epidural support.
  • Perform antepartum and postpartum maternal and newborn assessments.
  • Support gynecological clinic including annual exams and family planning.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive care to Native American patients and families.
  • Document accurately in the electronic health record.

Required Qualifications:
  • Active RN license — any U.S. state accepted.
  • Minimum 2 years OB/GYN or labor and delivery experience.
  • BLS and NRP certification required.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a rural federal setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior IHS or tribal facility experience.
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification.
  • Cultural competency with Native American populations.

Contract Details:
  • Location: Southwest United States — IHS Federal Facility.
  • Compensation: $60 to $67/hr blended — contact for full package details.
  • Any state license accepted.
  • Multiple positions available.
