Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our OB/GYN Residency Program Director, you will join a growing "privademics" practice at Dignity Health Medical Group - Stockton and St. Joseph's Medical Center, playing a pivotal role in the continued success, leadership, and development of our community OB/GYN Residency Program.
You will provide expert clinical care while overseeing all administrative, operational, and educational aspects of the residency program, actively teaching, mentoring, and evaluating residents and medical students as part of your faculty appointment. You will also contribute significantly to shaping the next generation of women's health professionals and directing programmatic growth in a highly collaborative environment.
To be successful in this role, you will be a BC OB/GYN physician with a proven track record of clinical excellence, dedicated core faculty experience, and a passion for graduate medical education leadership. You will possess strong administrative skills, a deep understanding of ACGME compliance, and the vision required to inspire and train future physicians within a supportive academic environment.
Serve as the OB/GYN Residency Program Director, providing leadership, authority, and administrative oversight for all elements of the residency training program, including curriculum design, resident selection, and ACGME accreditation standards.
Deliver expert inpatient and outpatient clinical care, supervising residents in the clinic, labor and delivery, and the operating room to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Mentor and evaluate residents and core faculty members, fostering a culture of academic inquiry, wellness, and clinical excellence while advancing departmental research and scholarly activity.
Partner and collaborate cross-functionally with hospital leadership, regional clinical leaders, and community partners to optimize clinical resources and address regional women's healthcare disparities.

2yr guaranteed annual base salary ($350,000 - $400,000/year) with an embedded leadership premium for the Program Director role, plus productivity-based incentives

Required
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG)
Active or eligible medical license in the state of California and active DEA certification
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program, with demonstrated administrative or leadership experience
Current track record of scholarly activity and a strong commitment to graduate medical education
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-based clinical problem-solving skills
