The role:

  • Approximately twelve 14-hour night shifts, with the availability of extra night or day shifts for extra compensation
  • Work alongside 8 physicians, 2 certified nurse midwives, 3 nurse practitioners, and skilled support staff
  • Provide routine and high-risk obstetric and gynecologic services to a patient population of approximately 500,000 people
  • Overnight, the OBGYN is responsible for triage, labor and delivery, antepartum, and transfer patients, as well as postpartum patients needing physician consultation, ED consults, and emergent GYN surgery.

Our hospital invested in a $300 million tower which opened in 2016. Our modernization project included a complete redesign of our Women & Infants unit including twenty-five private patient rooms, six new labor and delivery rooms, and two new state-of-the-art obstetrics/gynecology surgical suites to complement the level of expertise found at our medical center.
