Job Description:
A full-time opportunity is available for an OB Hospitalist to join a growing women's health program within a modern hospital setting. This role focuses on providing inpatient obstetric care in a team-based environment, working alongside physicians, midwives, and advanced practice providers. The position offers a structured schedule designed to promote work-life balance, along with access to strong specialty support and state-of-the-art facilities.
Shift / Schedule:
- Full-time position
- 7 shifts per month (24-hour shifts)
- Hospital-based schedule with no outpatient responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care, including labor and delivery management
- Evaluate and manage obstetric patients in the hospital setting
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide timely interventions
- Collaborate with midwives, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Support deliveries and ensure continuity of care for hospitalized patients
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using EMR systems
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate, patient-centered care
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Requirements:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
- DEA certification
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills in obstetric care
