OB Surgical Tech, Labor and Delivery Unit
About Labor and Delivery: Labor and Delivery is a high risk specialized unit that provides care to pregnant individuals prior to and during labor, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period. This unit has 17 private birthing suites, 5 Triage/PACU beds, 4 OR Rooms, 3 bed Obstetric Emergency Department care, and a specialized Antepartum unit that provides care for women with high-risk pregnancies and post-partum diagnoses needing supportive care.
Shift: Full-time, Nights
Job Description:
Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direction of the registered nurse.
Performs scrub functions and other roles, which support the perioperative plan of care.
Assures the provision of comfort, safety and quality perioperative care for the patient.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
High School/GED
Successful completion of a program of Surgical Technician
Work experience and successful credentialing may be considered in lieu of formal program.
