OB/GYN Opportunity in Murrells Inlet, SC

Our organization is actively looking for a board-eligible or board-certified OB/GYN to become part of a thriving community-based practice in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. This position is an employed role within our health system, which serves Horry, Georgetown, and Williamsburg Counties, recognized as one of the fastest-growing areas in the nation.

We operate two hospitals: Georgetown Memorial Hospital, with 131 beds, and Waccamaw Community Hospital, which has 121 beds, both located in South Carolina. Key Responsibilities
  • Join a full-time inpatient/outpatient practice due to increasing patient volume.
  • Be part of a well-established program that includes 11 OB/GYNs, two Urogynecologists, and nine Advanced Practice Providers, including six Certified Nurse Midwives.
  • Provide Labor & Delivery coverage exclusively at Waccamaw Community Hospital.
  • Participate in a call rotation shared among 10 physicians, resulting in approximately 1:5 call for both primary and backup duties.
  • Utilize modern facilities, featuring a Level II nursery, 12 operating rooms, and two daVinci Xi robotic surgery systems.
  • Work in the first hospital in South Carolina to achieve advanced certification in perinatal care from The Joint Commission and recognized as Baby-Friendly by the World Health Organization and UNICEF.

Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Eligibility for a medical license in South Carolina.
