Job Description

Focused on Surgery. Committed to Teamwork. Located just outside Portland.

Enhance your skills. Amplify your voice. Engage in comprehensive OB/GYN practice in an environment that truly supports you.

At our organization, our patients are at the heart of what we do. With 12 clinic locations and six hospitals in the Portland metropolitan area, we provide care to over 50,000 individuals annually, guiding them through every life stage. We are the largest independent women's health group in Oregon, entirely owned by clinicians.

Our team comprises OB/GYN physicians, certified nurse-midwives, nurse practitioners, behavioral health specialists, maternal-fetal medicine experts, urogynecologists, and robust operational support, allowing you to concentrate on what truly matters: delivering clinical excellence.

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN to join our Oregon City office, recognized for its surgical expertise, collaborative atmosphere, and a shared dedication to providing meaningful, accessible care.

Why Choose Oregon City?

Oregon City combines the charm of a small town with the conveniences of Portland, including vibrant neighborhoods, excellent schools, and abundant outdoor activities. Many of our clinicians reside in Oregon City, Lake Oswego, or West Linn, enjoying the blend of community and accessibility.

Clinically, Oregon City offers unique opportunities. Our hospital, Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center, is investing in the da Vinci V, the latest robotic platform, enabling us to expand minimally invasive options and provide patients with more choices close to home.

Here, You Will Discover:
  • A supportive team of seven OB/GYNs and seven CNMs who genuinely enjoy collaborating and backing each other up.

  • A cooperative model where midwives handle most low- and moderate-risk OB care, allowing physicians to enhance their surgical skills while maintaining a full-scope practice.

  • The only group performing gynecologic surgery at our community hospital.

  • A diverse patient population that is often medically complex, including rural patients, incarcerated individuals, and home birth transfers, where your contributions have a significant impact.

This is a place where relationships matter—both among colleagues and with patients.

Your Practice Environment

Balanced Call Structure: Our CNM partners help create a call model that allows physicians time for GYN and surgical development while ensuring meaningful OB experience.

Surgery-Forward Growth: With a strong gynecology volume and partners focused on minimally invasive surgery, you will build surgical confidence early on. Dedicated surgical block time and OR mentorship mean you will not just assist—you will operate and grow.

Robotic Expansion: Our upcoming da Vinci V platform will support ongoing growth in minimally invasive GYN surgery.

Leadership That Listens: Physicians in Oregon City actively participate in shaping organizational decisions, from advanced surgical technologies to in-office nitrous-supported procedures and hysteroscopy. Your input is valued here.

What We Offer Our OB/GYNs
  • A 4-day work week with flexible full-time equivalent options.

  • Competitive compensation in a private practice setting, with eligibility for ownership after three years.

  • Continuing medical education (CME), malpractice coverage, parental leave, and a generous 401(k) contribution.

  • Dedicated surgical block time.

  • The autonomy to design a workweek that reflects your strengths and interests.

A Supportive Start: Designed for Early Career Success

We understand that transitioning from residency to practice—or even to a new practice—can be significant. In Oregon City, you won’t be navigating this journey alone.

  • A dedicated physician mentor during your first year.

  • Partnership in OR and high-risk OB as you build your independence.

  • Real-time consult access from experienced colleagues.

  • Optional journal club and peer cohort gatherings for connection and shared learning.

You will thrive here—with support, confidence, and colleagues who are invested in your success.

What You Bring
  • MD or DO from an accredited institution.

  • Completion of an ACGME OB/GYN residency (or expected prior to start).

  • Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN.

  • Eligibility for licensure in Oregon.

  • Eligibility for DEA and hospital privileges.

  • Insurability for malpractice coverage.

Oregon City is a place where physicians can enhance their skills, gain autonomy, and emerge as leaders within a supportive, clinician-owned organization.

If you are seeking a practice where you can grow meaningfully and feel genuinely supported by your team, we would love to hear from you.

Salary Range/Equity Pay Analysis: Please be aware that, in accordance with the Oregon State Pay Equity Law, your salary will be determined based on the experience and education detailed in your resume/application. We strongly encourage you to include any relevant experience to ensure your offer reflects all directly related and equivalent qualifications. Please be specific with dates of positions, skills, and educational experiences related to the job you are applying for within your application materials.

Our organization is an equal opportunity employer.

Oregon employers are required by various state and federal agencies to display a range of workplace notices and posters, including:
