Obstetrician Gynecologist Hospitalist Position

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is on the lookout for a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible OBGYN Hospitalist to join our team at a prominent hospital in Lower Manhattan. This role will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-house obstetrical coverage and oversee clinical care for patients on the labor floor.
  • Supervise and manage care for antepartum and postpartum inpatients.
  • Oversee gynecologic consultations, including those that may require surgical intervention.
  • Act as the Attending for Physician Assistants.
  • Engage in continuing medical education and contribute to departmental quality initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is competitive and based on qualifications and experience, with a base salary range starting at $275,000. This package includes excellent benefits, relocation assistance, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications
  • A medical degree is required.
  • Completion of a 4-year ACGME-accredited residency program in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Board eligibility or certification in obstetrics and gynecology is necessary.
  • A valid New York State Medical License is required or must be obtainable.
  • A strong commitment to excellence in patient care and teaching is essential.
