Job Opportunity: OBGYN Laborist

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is on the lookout for a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible OBGYN Laborist to join our team at the hospital dedicated to women's health and newborn care. This role will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-house obstetrical physician coverage and oversee clinical care for patients in the labor and delivery unit.
  • Supervise and manage care for antepartum and postpartum inpatients.
  • Oversee gynecologic consultations, including cases that may require surgical intervention.
  • Act as the Attending for Physician Assistants.
  • Engage in continuing medical education and contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is competitive and based on qualifications and experience, with a base salary range starting at $325,000. This package includes excellent benefits, relocation assistance, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications
  • A medical degree is required.
  • Completion of a 4-year ACGME-accredited residency program in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Board eligibility or certification in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • A valid New York State Medical License or the ability to obtain one.
  • A strong commitment to excellence in patient care and teaching.
