Obstetrician Gynecologist (OBGYN) Hospitalist

Our client, a leading community hospital recognized for excellence in patient care and outpatient services, is hiring a dedicated Obstetrician Gynecologist (OBGYN)  Hospitalist/Laborist. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a growing OB team at a nationally recognized hospital in White Plains, NY. The OB Hospitalist/Laborist will play a critical role in providing comprehensive maternity and obstetric care during busy, fast-paced shifts. Responsibilities:

• Manage unassigned obstetric patients in the emergency department and during hospital rounds.
• Hospitalist/Laborist will assist with deliveries, including emergency and routine cases, in collaboration with private attendings.
• Provide full-spectrum OB care including deliveries, C-sections, postpartum management, and triage.
• Work a flexible schedule with 10-hour shifts, averaging 14 shifts per month, across day and night rotations.
• Serve as the primary OB provider during shifts, at times functioning independently in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with a full support team including nurses, midwives, NICU specialists, and attendings.
• Report to the Chief of OB Department, contributing to a high standard of obstetric care in a busy hospital environment.

Requirements:

• Must be Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology upon application; Board Eligibility is not acceptable.
• Active New York State medical license or with application in progress, with the ability to start by January 2027.
• Prior OB hospitalist/laborist experience is preferred but new graduates with certification are encouraged to apply.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Additional procedural skills or specialized OB certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced setting with diverse patient populations.
