Position Overview
The Institute for Hand & Arm Surgery is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) or Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) for a part-time position, providing maternity leave coverage at the MADISON, NJ office. The therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of upper extremity diagnoses, fabricate custom orthoses, and work collaboratively with our hand surgeons to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services. This position offers direct mentorship from two hand surgeons.

Qualifications
● Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
● Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential preferred but not required
● Physical Agent Modality Certification preferred
● Experience in upper extremity rehabilitation and custom orthosis fabrication
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Solid clinical reasoning and medical knowledge
● Previous hand therapy experience preferred
● Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Employment Type
Part-Time Maternity Coverage Position.
Anticipated coverage period: Approximately 5–6 months, starting mid September 2026
