Nucor Steel Texas in Jewett, TX is seeking an Occupational Health Coordinator to deliver emergency medical response and manage onsite occupational health and safety programs with a high degree of autonomy. Key requirements include holding an active Texas or Nationally Registered EMS/Paramedic certification or Texas RN license, having 3+ years of emergency medical or occupational health experience, and living within 30 miles of the facility.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $87,000 to $120,000 per year, plus annual (ROA) bonus

Job Duties
Deliver industrial emergency medical response, maintain emergency equipment, and lead the facility ERT rescue program
Manage onsite occupational health care, triage, workers' compensation case management, and return-to-work protocols
Conduct health screenings and medical programs, including audiograms, vision tests, pulmonary function testing, and respirator fit testing
Administer plant-wide drug/alcohol testing, industrial hygiene programs, and employee medical record systems
Instruct CPR and First Aid courses while organizing facility-wide health events and onsite clinics
Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and state safety regulations while participating in incident investigations

Job Requirements
Active Texas-certified/Nationally Registered EMS or Paramedic certification, OR an active Texas Nursing license
Minimum 3 years of experience in EMS/Paramedic, emergency care nursing, or industrial/occupational health settings
Physical location within 30 miles of the Jewett mill, or willingness to relocate within 30 miles
No immediate family members currently employed by Nucor Steel Texas
Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Demonstrated ability to uphold and lead strict safety, housekeeping, and health standards
Willingness to provide after-hours support, travel, and pursue advanced certifications (e.g., EMT, Advanced Burn Life Support, OSHA training)
Preferred baseline knowledge of OSHA, Workers' Compensation, ADA, and FMLA compliance
