Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and dedicated Occupational Health & Emergency Medicine Nurse to join our dynamic team in the health and safety industry. This is a permanent position where the successful candidate will be responsible for providing immediate medical care on-site, ensuring the health and safety of our employees, and promoting a culture of wellness throughout the organization. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in Occupational Health and Emergency Medicine, with at least 4 years of experience in both.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide immediate medical care to employees in case of workplace accidents or illnesses.
2. Conduct regular health assessments and screenings for all employees.
3. Implement and manage health and safety programs in line with company policies and OSHA regulations.
4. Provide health education and counseling to employees to promote wellness and prevent work-related illnesses and injuries.
5. Document all medical interventions and maintain accurate medical records for all employees.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and management to ensure the overall health and safety of the workforce.
7. Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations, providing first aid and coordinating further medical treatment as necessary.
8. Develop strategies to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses, including health promotion initiatives and training programs.
9. Monitor the health status of employees exposed to industrial hazards and implement necessary preventive measures.
10. Liaise with external healthcare providers and insurance companies as required.
Qualifications:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in both Occupational Health and Emergency Medicine
3. Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or similar is a plus.
4. Advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace health and safety practices.
5. Excellent clinical skills with the ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and counsel employees on health-related matters.
7. Proficient in maintaining accurate medical records and handling confidential information with discretion.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
10. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
