The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for Maintaining an autonomous nursing practice focused on the promotion, protection and restoration of associates health by utilizing the standard domains of occupational health nursing within the context of a safe and healthy manufacturing and non-manufacturing environment as well as following the nursing practice standards of the State.

This position reports to the Supervisor Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene and is part of the Environmental Health and Safety Department located in Logan Utah and will be an on-site role. Regular working hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. After-hours coverage by phone as needed.

What you will do:

  • Provide clinical care including first aid, injury/illness assessment, treatment, follow-up, and emergency response readiness (e.g., AED/first aid, protocol adherence) for occupational and non-occupational cases.

  • Lead case management for workers' compensation and return-to-work programs, partnering with providers, EHS, HR, and site leadership.

  • Administer and manage medical surveillance programs (e.g., hearing conservation, respirator, vision, bloodborne pathogens), including scheduling, tracking, documentation, and OSHA compliance/recordkeeping within EMR systems.

  • Partner with EHS to identify workplace health risks, support incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement through DBS and GEMBA engagement.

  • Deliver health and wellness programs, screenings, and site initiatives (e.g., flu clinics, education sessions, wellness campaigns).

Who you are:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah.

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in occupational health, emergency, or clinical nursing (e.g., ER, ICU, employee health).

  • Certification: Current BLS/CPR/AED certification for healthcare providers.

  • Regulatory & Case Management Expertise: Demonstrated experience with OSHA recordkeeping, workers' compensation, medical surveillance programs, and case management processes.

  • Systems & Clinical Skills: Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Cority, Sedgwick, equivalent), MS Office, and clinical assessment skills (injury evaluation, vitals, medical equipment use).

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Strength and/or stamina, lifting, moving, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and carrying of materials and equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.

  • Bend, lift, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to wear steel-toed or composite footwear and safety glasses
