Occupational Health Nurse

Occupational Health Nurse (RN) 

Location: Redondo Beach, CA Schedule: Onsite
Certifications Required: Active CA RN License, AED & CPR

Job Summary

This role provides occupational health nursing services in a corporate or industrial setting. The nurse supports employee health, injury/illness management, medical surveillance, and workplace safety programs. The position includes clinical care, case management, health education, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational health nursing care to employees experiencing work‑related or non‑work‑related illness or injury

• Perform case management and collaborate with Environmental, Health & Safety teams

• Provide wound care, follow‑up dressings, and maintain treatment records

• Coordinate drug and alcohol testing (post‑incident and for‑cause)

• Administer immunizations and vaccinations

• Assist with OSHA‑required medical surveillance exams (audiometric, respiratory, vision, urine collection)

• Screen employees for return‑to‑work clearance in coordination with leave‑of‑absence teams

• Prepare reports and assist in developing medical procedures and protocols

• Support corporate health and wellness programs (blood drives, health fairs, flu clinics)

• Provide health education and dispense over‑the‑counter medications as appropriate

• Refer serious injuries or contagious conditions to appropriate medical providers

• Ensure medical equipment and supplies are maintained, sanitized, and ready for use

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 4 years of additional education and/or related experience

• Occupational Health nursing experience

• Current AED and CPR certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• 5 years of nursing experience

• Certification in audiometric and spirometry testing

• Experience with Cal/OSHA reporting and assessment standards
