Works under the supervision of the Director of Operations. This position assists the Occupational Injury Coordinator to provide services for all customers and stakeholders through activities, communications, and daily tasks to sustain an efficient, expeditious and organized daily operation which serves the operational goals and strategic vision for Occupational Injury services.

- Procure information, prepare and process documents, billing, dictation, including procedure/exam coding, and charge code audit.
- Coordinate appointments, prescription and scheduling of diagnostics, and pre-op education.
- Communicates with patients regarding appointments, completion of insurance forms, medical releases and other documentation.
- Prepares release of information and consent forms for patient signature according to applicable statutes, sends requests to other health care provider(s) and coordinates the receipt of this additional information for the physician(s) and other health care providers.
- Answers the phones, makes necessary calls and acts as a receptionist for patients, visitors, providers and hospital staff.
- Receives and relays information to providers, nursing personnel, patients, family members and visitors by acting as a communication liaison.
- Schedules, reschedules, and cancels patient appointments with Physician and Nurse Practitioner, receptionist and customer service representative. Performs check in and check out functions in clinic.
- Maintains office supplies, equipment, files, forms, charts, and contracts.
- Effective collaboration with nurse case managers, referring and consulting providers, clinic and diagnostic department staff.
- Collect information, prepare IME documentation accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Review reduced payment claims, providing appropriate documentation to correct.

Education
- H.S. Diploma - or GED - Required
Work Experience
- 1 Year - Computer data entry, customer service, collections and medical record responsibility experience - Preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology - Preferred
