    Aspirus Health is seeking a physician to join our Occupational Health team as Specialty Medical DirectorOccupational Health

    This position reports directly to the System Senior Physician Executive Specialty Care and has relationships with the System Director Business Services and Service Line Administrators.

    This physician leader will leverage the core values of Aspirus Health to achieve success.

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

    • This position is a combination of clinical and medical director duties
    • The time commitment to the medical director role is .2 FTE (1 day/week)
      • Provide leadership to the Occupational Health team in alignment with Aspirus Health goals
      • Collaborate with the System Director in overseeing day-to-day operations related to physician and APC practices
      • Participate in general development and execution of system strategic operating plan, pillar, and other growth initiatives
      • Help build and promote the Aspirus culture within AMG and our communities
      • Promote and sustain the delivery of excellent patient experience
      • Medical directorship over onsite clinics
    • Clinical role is .4 FTE (2 days/week)
      • Scheduled patients, and emergent work compensation patients
      • Conduct pre-employment physicals and DOT physical examinations
      • Perform workers compensation evaluations
      • Diagnose and treat minor workplace injuries
      • Oversight of APCs

    Qualifications

    • Strong communication and marketing skills
    • Prefer Occupational Health Board Certification
    • DOT certification preferred, must obtain within 90 days
    • Must be licensed in WI, and obtain licensure in Michigan and Minnesota

    EXPERIENCE:

    • A minimum of three years experience in the practice of their Specialty (post-residency/ fellowship), direct patient care, and demonstrated skills and experience in clinical and administrative leadership through activities including, but not limited to, advanced healthcare administration course work, service as a medical staff officer, or program medical director
    • Experience and expertise in DOT, OSHA, and Workers Compensation regulations and employer requirements
    • Experience as a successful influencer who can interact effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders such as other physicians, healthcare administration, employer clients and staff
