Work Shift Part of a large and varied team consisting of physicians, nurses, allied health personnel, and members of the community. Provides direct patient care to a variety of diagnostic categories and supervising junior staff, rehabilitation technicians, volunteers and students. Caseloads may consist of adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients. Serves on departmental committees, serves as a speaker for educational programs/classes, and participates in process improvement and quality initiatives. Documents treatment plan according to department policy and bills for services. Coordinates appropriate follow up post discharge from care. Patient Assessment: Performs functions related to patient evaluation/re-evaluation, goal setting, and discharge planning according to department policy and procedures. Documents findings according to department policy and bills for services. Leadership: Serves as a member/leader of a department, AUMC, campus or community program or project. Provides input and suggestions for quality improvement to department leaders. Takes an active role in servicing patients with immediate needs. Documents productivity in a timely manner. Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Bachelors Physical Therapy PT - Physical Therapist Minimum 5 years Physical therapy Required or Minimum 3 years physical therapy plus 2 years of experience in supervisory role.
