Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:

\n

\n

• \n
• Assess student functioning and determine the need for occupational therapy intervention.
• \n
• Develop and support IEP goals through direct and consultative occupational therapy services.
• \n
• Design, initiate, and regularly reassess treatment plans aligned to student needs and IEP requirements.
• \n
• Provide on-site occupational therapy services and collaborate with school staff and families to reinforce student supports.
• \n
• Maintain required documentation, reports, and billing records, including progress updates and annual review materials.
• \n

Occupational Therapist Qualifications:

\n

• \n
• Ability to evaluate student needs and implement appropriate school-based occupational therapy interventions.
• \n
• Experience developing, supporting, and reporting on IEP-related goals and services.
• \n
• Demonstrated skill collaborating with educators, administrators, families, and related service providers.
• \n
• Ability to train and support staff on safe handling and use of positioning equipment, adaptive devices, and mobility supports.
• \n
• Ability to maintain detailed documentation for progress reporting, student files, and Medical Assistance billing requirements.
