Occupational Therapist Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $50.88 - $72.33an hour -PerDiem, Nights. Various hours a week. *Range includes per diem and night differential. +$2.50 weekend shifts. Boulder Community Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist - Neonatal Assessment Program who assumes responsibility and accountability for providing quality care to patients with disorders affecting daily living skills, sensory-motor functions, cognitive/perceptual functions, and infant special feeding needs. Current license in the State of Colorado required. BLS certification required by the end of 90-day conditional period. Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation environment with an interdisciplinary team is preferred. Experience treating infants in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is preferred. Skills Needed Evaluation skills: Selects appropriate tests and measures to determine goals and problems, courses of treatment and appropriate therapeutic interventions. Assessment skills: Identifies problem list/ assessment results, evaluates patient response to treatment and revises plan of care as indicated. Planning skills: Formulates and maintains an individualized treatment plan based on functional long and short-term goals. Implementation skills: Provides treatment using appropriate techniques and tools. Responsibilities Reports and documents evaluations, plans, treatment techniques, assessment and patient progress. Functions as an advocate for the patient within the rehabilitation system. Identifies patient/family goals and incorporates this feedback into the overall plan of care. Transfers patients from wheelchair, bed, mat, commode etc. Transports patients to/from their room to the therapy room. Positions patients properly in their wheelchair Positions infants properly in crib, warmer or bassinet. Manages medical lines and medical equipment. Provides appropriate caregiver training to parents of infants in NICU and Special Care Nursery to support infant development and feeding plan. Provides appropriate discharge planning, including ordering equipment, recommendations for therapy, patient / family training.
