Job Summary and Qualifications

Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation | Stroke & Neurorehabilitation Focus - Build your career. Build our program. Change lives. 

Our acute inpatient rehabilitation program is growing, and we’re looking for PTs and OTs who want to make rehabilitation their specialty. You’ll work with patients who have experienced stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, major trauma, neurological conditions, and complex medical illness, helping them regain the skills they need to return to their lives, families, and communities. 

Help Build Specialized Programs 

We want to develop and expand our Stroke and Spinal Cord Injury programs. Therapists interested in taking ownership of clinical programming will have opportunities to help develop treatment pathways, education, equipment resources, outcome initiatives, and staff competencies. 

We want to invest in therapists who want to grow. Interested in advanced certifications or specialty training? We want to help you get there.  Potential opportunities include pursuing certifications and advanced education in areas such as: 

• Stroke rehabilitation 
• Neurologic rehabilitation 
• Spinal cord injury 
• Brain injury 
• Parkinson’s and other neurologic disorders 
• Other specialty areas aligned with your interests and our program needs

Practice at the Top of Your License: Work in an environment where clinical reasoning matters. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, case management, and other rehabilitation disciplines to develop individualized treatment plans and solve complex functional problems.

 Your role will include:

• Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team. 
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care. 
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes. 
• Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond. 
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences. 
• Leading by example—providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
• (OT) Occupational Therapist
• Bachelors Degree Requiured
