Occupational Therapist

Job description

Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients' physical, emotional, and developmental capabilities to determine appropriate treatment plans- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy programs to help patients achieve their goals- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, sensory processing, and daily living activities- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary- Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to enhance independence and safety- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist- Experience in speech therapy, case management, or working in a hospital setting is preferred- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to occupational therapy- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
