Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Arlington Heights, IL 60005
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 40 Weeks
Shift: Day | 7:45 AM–3:15 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5×7 Hours | 35 Hours/Week
Local Candidates: No
Traveler Candidates: Accepted – outside 50 miles

Pay Rate:
Traveler: $1,500–$1,900/week

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

• Current, active Illinois Occupational Therapist license

• Current CPR/BLS certification, if required

• Previous OT experience in a school, rehabilitation, or therapy setting

• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills

• Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams

• Strong English communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students/patients to identify functional and occupational therapy needs

• Develop and implement individualized therapy treatment plans

• Provide therapy to improve fine motor skills, coordination, mobility, ADLs, and independence

• Monitor and document progress and response to treatment

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, physicians, therapists, and other team members

• Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications

• Maintain accurate therapy documentation and treatment records

• Participate in education or treatment planning meetings

• Educate families, caregivers, and staff on therapeutic techniques

• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and applicable professional standards
