Overview:
Compensation
Responsibilities:
- Performs responsibilities as an integral team member of an OT/OTA collaboration focused on patient centered decision making.
- Documents delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
- Educates patients, family, caregivers, significant others, and staff members.
- Directs and supervises activities of support personnel.
- Performs occupational therapy programs under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, utilizing standard occupational therapy techniques as appropriate for the patient's age, functional impairments, abilities, needs, and desires.
Qualifications:
Education
- Graduate of an AOTA approved occupational therapy assistant education program; successful completion of the certification process for Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Experience
- Preferred but not required
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Licensure/Certification
- Licensed or eligible for licensure, or temporary licensure, as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
