Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team! Are you tired of being just a number within a company? Not feeling valued or appreciated as a therapist? Lauralee’s Speech Therapy, LLC is a small, family-oriented agency that prioritizes both the clients we serve and the therapists who support them.

We offer competitive pay, regular bonuses for purchasing therapy materials, license and CEU reimbursement, and more. As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with a supervising Occupational Therapist to implement individualized plans of care and provide meaningful, functional therapy in natural environments.

Our client population includes members of the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) with diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Epilepsy, and other long-term conditions. Experience working with this population is required. Services are provided in members’ homes, so comfort with a mobile, community-based setting is essential.

The ideal candidate has feeding experience, strong time management skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of occupational therapy principles and best practices.

You will have the flexibility and autonomy to build your own schedule and caseload—whether you prefer part-time (as few as 15 clients) or full-time (30+ clients), the choice is yours.

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and implement established plans of care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Assist patients with adaptive equipment, therapeutic exercises, and development of daily living skills
  • Support communication, care coordination, and collaboration with supervising therapists and team members
  • Provide feedback and input on patient progress and care plans
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services, progress, and changes in status
Qualifications

  • Current Arizona license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct therapy experience (required)
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (DDD population) required
  • Feeding experience preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification
