Hiring a Full-Time occupational therapist assistant for skilled nursing facility (in-house therapy) provided in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Must have a COTA license in New Mexico or be eligible for one.
Job Description:
The Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide physical therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing home. The COTA will be responsible for assisting the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and communicating with other healthcare professionals. The COTA will also be responsible for providing education to patients and their families on proper exercise techniques and safety precautions.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- No experience in a skilled nursing home setting is necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Point of service documentation and provide group and concurrent therapy as scheduled.
- Must be flexible throughout the day for changes that occur. Weekday and Weekend hours available. Schedule is flexible and negotiable.
