Responsibilities:

The Staff Occupational Therapist provides specific occupational therapy services aimed at assisting the patient in regaining an optimal level of function in activities of daily living, fine motor abilites, functional transfers, and cognitive/perceptual skills. The Staff Occupational Therapist provides individualized care based upon the needs of the patient and family. Works in a collaberative environment with various members of hospital staff. 

Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience:
-Bachelors or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care hospital services to work on weekends
-Minimum of 2 years of experience is acute care hospital setting unless required to work weekends as denoted above
 
License Requirements:
-Meet all requirements of The Maryland State Board of OT Examiners, and be licensed by this regulatory agency with an OTR license. 
 
Certification Requirements:
-Level C CPR certification for healthcare providers 
 
Age Specific Care Provided For:
-Neonates
-Pediatrics
-Adolescents
-Adults
-Geriatrics
 
Other Requirements:
-Acute care rehab services: ADL treatment, therapeutic exercises, orthotic fabrication and monitoring, cognitive and perceptual activities, occupational assessment and retraining, prosthetic training.
-Must be able to type 30 WPM.
-Must have clear understanding of medical/rehabilitation language and abbreviations.
-Must be able to fulfill all State requirements of attending continuing education courses to meet CEU requirements for licensure.

-Must utilize proper body mechanics in the transfer and transport of patients.

-Must lift 50# floor to knuckle and replace to floor with correct body mechanics.
-Must be able to lift 10# overhead to 62" off floor.
Min: USD $37.75/Hr. Max: USD $67.95/Hr. Salary Information: Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications. Benefits:
