- Implement and administer occupational therapy interventions in a safe, effective, and patient-centered manner, adjusting treatment as needed.
- Regularly assess and modify treatment plans based on patient progress, re-evaluating as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Safely and competently operate all equipment related to therapy interventions and ensure patient safety during their use.
- Accurately document all patient treatments and sessions, ensuring proper billing and compliance with documentation standards, including the 8-minute rule.
- Provide detailed and accurate records of therapy interventions, including time spent, modalities used, and specific interventions provided.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure collaborative care and comprehensive support for patients.
- Mentor and educate patients and families regarding treatment strategies and goals, providing instruction on how to improve functionality outside of therapy sessions.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to take on additional duties or tasks as required to meet the needs of the patients and the team.
