A new 90-bed acute care facility opening Spring 2026 in Gainesville, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join its team, which includes a dedicated 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit and comprehensive emergency and surgical services.
The role. Working alongside physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, the Occupational Therapist evaluates each patient's functional abilities and develops individualized therapy plans tailored to their specific goals and needs. The therapist delivers skilled, evidence-based interventions aimed at promoting healing, independence, and quality of life, while monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as the patient's condition evolves. Thorough, timely documentation is maintained throughout to reflect patient outcomes, and patients and families are educated to build confidence and active engagement in the recovery process. The role also involves collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to support safe, seamless transitions of care, and may include providing guidance to therapy assistants or students.
What we're looking for.
• Vocational School Graduate required
• State Licensed Occupational Therapist required
• 1+ years of Occupational Therapist experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Schedule. Days with rotating weekends; core hours are 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with schedules staggered based on hospital needs.
