A new 90-bed acute care hospital opening Spring 2026 in Gainesville, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join its team. The facility offers comprehensive emergency services, advanced surgical care, and a dedicated 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit.

The role. As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate each patient's functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans in close coordination with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team. You will deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions designed to promote healing, independence, and quality of life, adjusting treatment plans as patients progress and maintaining thorough, timely documentation throughout. A meaningful part of the role involves educating patients and families to build confidence and engagement during recovery, as well as collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure safe, seamless transitions of care. You may also provide guidance to therapy assistants or students as part of your day-to-day practice.

What we're looking for.

  • Vocational School Graduate Required
  • State Licensed Occupational Therapist Required
  • 1+ years of Occupational Therapist experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule. Days with rotating weekends; core hours are 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with schedules staggered based on hospital needs.

Compensation. $32.52 - $44.72/hr plus Sign on: Case by Case Basis; Relocation Assistance: Case by Case
