Qualifications
Required

  • Active Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) license

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (OTD, MOT, or BSOT) — new graduates and experienced OTs encouraged to apply

  • Strong knowledge of outpatient rehabilitation, including orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and functional skills training

  • Excellent patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team-based outpatient environment

  • CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)

Preferred

  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic, neurological, or post-surgical rehab

  • Experience with manual therapy, adaptive equipment, or splinting

  • Experience using EMR systems

  • Experience with aquatic therapy, lymphedema therapy, or pelvic health therapy

About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist – Outpatient Rehabilitation, you will help patients regain independence and functional abilities for daily living, work, and leisure. You’ll design individualized therapy plans, deliver hands-on interventions, and provide patient and family education in a supportive outpatient clinic environment.

Therapy services offered include:

  • Orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical rehabilitation

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive OT evaluations including functional mobility, ADLs, fine motor skills, cognition, and strength

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Provide hands-on therapy including ADL training, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, splinting, aquatic therapy, lymphedema management, and pelvic rehab

  • Track patient progress and document accurately in EMR systems

  • Educate patients and families on home programs, injury prevention, and long-term wellness

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional outpatient clinic environment
