Logan Health Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), Certified Lymphedema Specialist, or Occupational Therapist with experience in hand therapy and lymphedema management to join our fast-paced outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with orthopedic surgeons and an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team while providing individualized, evidence-based care throughout every stage of recovery. You will manage a specialized caseload, build meaningful relationships with patients, and help individuals restore function, independence, and confidence.

Qualifications

One of the following is required:

  • Current Montana Occupational Therapist license; or

  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program with the ability to obtain a Montana Occupational Therapist license within thirty (30) days of hire.

Additional requirements include:

  • RQI Provider certification in Basic Life Support within seven (7) days of hire or transfer, or before providing independent patient care, whichever occurs first.

  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, treatment techniques, materials, equipment, processes, and procedures.

  • Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills.

  • Ability to establish priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism, tact, and discretion.

  • Ability to demonstrate integrity, kindness, and empathy when working with patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional software and clinical documentation systems as needed.

Preferred

  • Certified Hand Therapist certification.

  • Certified Lymphedema Therapist or Specialist certification.

  • Specialized education or training in lymphedema treatment.

  • Experience providing hand therapy, upper-extremity rehabilitation, and lymphedema management.

  • Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation setting.

Job-Specific Duties

  • Evaluates patients and develops individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on each patient’s condition, goals, age, culture, and functional needs.

  • Provides occupational therapy treatment for patients with hand, upper-extremity, orthopedic, and lymphedema-related conditions.

  • Implements individualized treatment programs in accordance with occupational therapy principles, Logan Health policies, and payer requirements.

  • Collaborates with orthopedic surgeons, rehabilitation professionals, patients, and families to establish treatment goals and appropriate discharge plans.

  • Educates patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and strategies that support continued recovery.

  • Completes timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and Montana occupational therapy practice requirements.

  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, peers, students, providers, and interdisciplinary team members regarding occupational therapy services and patient progress.

  • Plans, oversees, delegates, and provides instruction to assigned staff members to support competent and efficient service delivery.

  • Participates in departmental, organizational, and community projects or programs that support and enhance rehabilitation services.

  • Meets established productivity and quality standards in accordance with departmental expectations.

  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance in accordance with departmental scheduling requirements.
